Policy Positions

Policy Positions

The League of Women Voters advocates and educates.  But only on issues where the League has established positions.

Every position is arrived at by consensus, i.e., through a structured, democratic process.

Each position is based either on an in-depth study of a policy issue or adoption of a position studied by another League.   The latter (adoption of another League’s position) is called adoption by concurrence.

Positions are studied, established, and adopted by concurrence by local, state and national Leagues.
